The
Art & Concept
Fabrics have been always a way to carry memories, history, numbers, art and much more about cultures. They represent entire countries. That´s why AWANA builds it`s concept on a fabric.
The colors and the direction is based on a traditional very representative fabric from the Kichwa Culture, one of the biggest ethnic groups in Ecuador.
Indigenous are world wide known as amazing artisans and they have a very wonderful meaning for the word AWANA. In Kichwa language it means ¨lets weave collectively, lets weave memories, stories¨ That`s why this project takes the name of AWANA, to embrace the ancestral indigenous culture and to perfect fit all the colors and textures that all these music and instruments creates together.
